Cannot Download Assets

I’ve been trying to download Mercs for a while now. Tried on the following devices: iPad Pro (1st generation); iPhone 8+; Samsung Galaxy 5s; and even on PC.

It downloads the game, but then asks me to download additional assets. It gets to 198-200mb and then craps out with an error message that says ‘server connection error’.

I have tried it from several different WiFi networks, even one that is extremely high speed. Still no luck.

I would truly like to try this game but WTF!?

It asked me to download assets when I booted as well, but for me when I did so, it seems to have broken my game
